At Modern Skips, we provide a fully licensed recycling centre for trade waste in Purfleet.
Builders, landscapers, and registered waste carriers can tip their waste safely and efficiently.
We operate in full compliance with Environment Agency regulations, and a valid Waste Carrier Licence is required for all tipping customers.
Drive into our yard and report to the weighbridge office. Our team will log your details and confirm your Waste Carrier Licence. Regular customers can enjoy faster check-ins and account billing.
Your vehicle is weighed on arrival. We use calibrated, certified weighbridge equipment for accurate charging.
You’ll be directed to the correct tipping bay based on your material type. Our staff ensure unloading is safe, efficient, and compliant. Please wear hi-vis and follow yard safety signage.
Drive back to the weighbridge. Your total fee is calculated by weight or load type. We accept card payments and trade accounts. A Waste Transfer Note is issued for your records.

At Modern Skips, we are fully licensed to accept and process POPs waste in line with Environment Agency regulations.
POPs — Persistent Organic Pollutants — are found in many upholstered items such as sofas, chairs, and office furniture. These items must be kept separate from general waste for safe, compliant disposal.
POPs (Persistent Organic Pollutants) are chemicals used in certain flame-retardant fabrics and foams. They can’t be recycled or landfilled with general waste and must be sent for controlled destruction at licensed facilities.
